Social Networking

Social network is a network of social interactions using a dedicated website or other application that allow users to communicate with each other by posting information, comments, messages and others. In my opinion, there are quite a number of advantages learning on social networking. This includes that it helps us to get connected with our friends and family in a better way, it also help to send or share information to others. The following are the example of common social networking application that is used by most of the people nowadays.

    Facebook
  1.  Facebook
Facebook is the trend now. Almost all of us have an account in Facebook no matter you are in what age because it was the most popular social media for many youngsters to now. It was a social networking created by Mark Zuckerberg. Many users use Facebook for business advertisement to promote their company as well. The most miraculous part of Facebook is that it allowed us to find back our long lost friends which gives this creation an extra plus point. However, one thing that we should take care of is that we must be aware of every single detail and post that we have posted in because it might be seen by others and this can put us in danger sometimes.

2. Google
Google

Google is an American multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products that include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, software and hardware. In our daily life, we actually uses Google indirectly or directly to search or do our work because it is the browser's homepage of most of us. There are also other commonly used applications which is under Google. They are Google+, Google doc, Google drive, Google maps, Google translate, photos,  contacts and etc. All these are actually easy and simple to be learnt and use.

3. Youtube

Youtube
It is a video-sharing website created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. It was later bought by Google and it is now operates as one of Google's subsidiaries. This site allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add to favourites, report and comment on videos that are posted online. Recently, it has came out with a new feature which that it allow users to save videos and watch it offline. It is free and there are no fees to pay in using Youtube, The disadvatages of Youtube is that it is so public that anyone can see the videos that you post. Besides, if children can access Youtube, we should probably need a parental block since that some videos can sometimes be inappropriate and violence to them.

Twitter

4. Twitter

Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and read short messages of 140-character which is known as "tweets". Registered users can read and post tweets but those who are unregistered can only read them. The disadvantages are the twitter social media is lack of personal privacy concern. It is so easy to join as a new member until it has been overloads. On the other hand, some users might find it difficult to express their feeling in just 140 words.

LinkedIn
5. LinkedIn

It is a business and employment-oriented social networking service that operates via websites, In this service, we can post our interest and skills in doing something so that it is easy for the job seeker to find us. There are also employers who posted up jobs that they are hiring for and waiting for the application. Many of us actually uses LinkedIn to search for jobs. In this media, users can invite anyone to become a connection. The disadvantage of LinkedIn is that it is hard to tailor our profile to each job.

In conclusion, every media has its own advantages and disadvantages. They all can keep us up to date and provide us our needs. But in the same time, they are dangerous to us because some of the social media requires us to fill in our personal details before we start to use them. Therefore, we must be aware and read and understand the terms and conditions when we are about the sign up. This is the most important precaution that we should follow to keep us safe in using any of the social networking services.
